Directions:
- First, give out the song lyrics to the students and have them listen to the song, following along with the lyrics.
- While the students listen, have them underline vocabulary they don't know and star where they think they might see a command.
- Next, in groups, allow students to go through and look up any necessary vocabulary. Have them focus on vocabulary that is important to understanding, not every single word.
- Review the vocabulary as a class.
- Next, in groups, have the students identify where they see commands and how the commands are given.
- After searching for the commands, review the information as a class, line by line. Have the students try to determine the rules for commands, such as what to do with object pronouns and what to do with reflexive verbs.
- Finally, go through and clarify the rules of the impératif. These are the three that are easiest to identify and see:
Giving commands with the "vous" form
Giving commands with the infinitive form
Commands with object pronouns
Commands with reflexive verbs
