- Each year, AFHS Project UNIFY participates in a national campaign - ‘Spread the Word to End the Word’ - to promote awareness for members of the special needs community, and to encourage the student body to eliminate the word ‘retarded’ from their vocabulary. This year, we’re asking everyone to pledge to not use the ‘r-word,’ and to treat every individual with disabilities with more respect.
The classroom wearing the most BLUE with photographic proof, (send photo to Caroline Brogden) will earn Chick-fil-a for their next homeroom date.
Please note that Project Unify has changed its name to the Unified Champions!
Today we have a few surveys. Here are the links!
Hello, Apex Friendship! This is a note from your Student Council. First, will everyone please take out your phone and follow our new Twitter @pats_stuco. This is important because throughout the year, we will need your input on events and ideas Student Council will be working on. This will be the way you can get your ideas to Student Council so we can try and make them happen!
Second thing: boys, if you’re interested in playing in the Volleybros game next week, please fill out the Google form on the Student Council Twitter to show you are interested. When you’re done, get the actual sign-up form from your teacher. Fill out the forms and bring your ten dollars, cash or check, to Ms. Wooten (the english teacher) in Room 2231, and you’ll be signed up and put on a team based on your grade level. It will be a lot of fun and very competitive, so don't miss out! As of right now, we MUST have some more junior and freshmen boys in order to make this event happen...sophomores need many more, too, but they are the one class that has started building their team and turning their info in!
