- This week, we will be studying introductions in the French-speaking world, so today we will reflect on what these look like in our own culture(s).
- Here are the aspects of introductions that we will explore over the next week:
- Greeting the opposite gender (Groups 1&2)
- Greeting family members/good friends (Groups 3&4)
- Greeting elders vs. peers (Groups 5&6)
- Personal vs. business greetings (Groups 7, 8, &9)
- Your group will receive a large piece of chart paper. According to the aspect assigned, come up with all of the "cultural norms" you can think of in American culture.
- Also add what you can about any other culture that you are an active part of.
Ex: your family is originally from Ecuador, so at home you live in the Ecuadorian style.

- After you have time to reflect and write down everything that you can think of, we will rotate to see each of the other 3 aspects of introductions.
